It is so nice to find out info on BAHS, since it has been a long time since I've been at home I accidentally found this site. THIS IS A GOOD THING. Sorry to hear about Ms. Vilma, she was a great person, who incredibly always remembered a face, and always cheerful. If anybody's out there from 5B - Please note I am still alive. Hello to Avion,Camille Lowhar, Alicia Maharaj, and the gang. How are things going? Give me a buzz at laifm@hotmail.com and GOOD LUCK TO ALL OUR YOUNG HILARIANS - Just remember one thing, when you are done you will be well prepared to face the world, as the rest of us are out here 'doing our thing' and succeeding!!!!!

what happen? like nobody from graduating class of 86 took mr gooding seriously, i have seen one person from this year, anyway it's snowing :( and this boring usa christmas makes me think of those grest years @bahs,the chior and mrs sealy. i want to return to T&T just to have my daughters continue the tradition of four generations of bahs girls in my family, other trinis who did not go to bahs do not seem to understand and i guess it is because they didn't have the honour that we all share. keep up the good work . ps: has any one heard of or know the whereabouts of jeanine awai i would really like to get in touch w/her.

I left Bishop Anstey in 1998. I loved the experience and love the warmth and family togetherness that comes from being a Hilarian. I hope others will have thisb same feeling about Bishop Anstey when they leave.

It's Nneka again, Just updating myself on what is going on with my old school. I love all the pictures on the website but I think that we need a little more. I heard that the Bazaar was a big success, but I am sure that it cannot compare to the disco that the Form 5 of 1997 held for the Bazaar of that year:) I am glad to hear that you all are finally building the Science Building that we have been waiting for for so long. I'll be down in Trini for Christmas- too bad school will be closed. I hope I get to see all you Bishops girls at Coconuts and Base(Form 5's and up that is!!!) I love you all and wish everybody the best. You know I must shout out some more of my peeps. One Love to Renee Butcher, Hannah Thomas, Kanika Charles and everyone who was in my year. Stay strong and keep the spirit alive. One Love, Nneka Sutherland P.S. To all my old teachers: I love you all still:):)@------

Well, it's good to be adding a lil' something-something on this page again. I am very happy because it's winter and there is not even one drop of snow here in the Toronto area. Well, I could deal with the winter so I'm really missing the snow. Anyhow, I must send out my congratulations to Sweelan Gerald who has made such an impact on the lives of her fellow West Indian students here at the University of Guelph. (She even get an outstanding award from the West Indian Student Association--which I'm sure she'll be showing off to her friends!!). One thing she said to me that I would like to pass on to present Hilarians as well as future ones---KEEP UP THE BISHOPS' LEGACY! I hope that I could follow in her footsteps(well at least the good ones--you know that I have to get back at you somehow!). Seriously, I'm proud of you Sweelie and I know that you will make it in life because of your determination and your care for others.

Well yes, this is the day. It's strange the things technology makes you do. I never envisioned myself signing up in an Old Hiliarians Guest Book. As a matter of fact I only found this site because I was looking up the fete calendar for Carnival 1999 and saw Old Hiliarians Fete highlighed and fell into it by accident. I had decided to forego this particular page but after scrolling down and seeing the likes of Rhonda Ottley I said to myself who is me :) (Hi Rhonda, see you at UWI fete - How's Gary?) Bishops is a great school, I made many good friends there, friends that I still have today. It was a learning time, a "TRYING" time, but in retrospect still a damn good time. Marianne, Maria, Paula and Marissa, consider yourselves shouted out. See you at the fete.

Hi Hilarians! I am FINALLY getting round to updating the Hilarians List. Please let me know if your e-mail address is different from that published currently - we have a lot of rejected e-mail because some of the addresses are not applicable as the people have moved on, or changed ISPs. Those of who who have submitted the form and seen no action, please bear with me a couple more weeks! Thanks, Nicky.

Hello to the Bishop Anstey High family. This greeting is coming from the Howard University Hilarians, with a special note from me, Betty-Ann Peters. To those whom I never had the chance to meet, I am a graduate of the class of 1994/1996. Presently I am pursuing a BBA in Actuarial Science and school is going quite good. However, I must say that the days I spent at Bishop Anstey are some of the best of my life and the experience here can in no way be compared to life within those big grey walls. I miss home a great deal, more than I would have ever imagined. To the present students, I know that you all have heard the saying, 'You never miss the water till the well run dry' this is indeed true, so enjoy your days as they will be over before you know it. The main reason I am sending this e-mail is that I believe that Bishop Anstey has given a lot to me and I would like to do my very best in showing my gratitude. I leave for Christmas break on the Dec. 12th and hopefully your break would not have gone for your Christmas holidays. If there are any students who are interested in studying here at H.U. I could have some applications made available to you. There are a lot of opportunities available and we the Hilarians here would gladly welcome new members to our branch of this remarkable family. I am also willing to share some experiences about H.U., with probably the graduating class or anyone else who's interested at a time most convenient to them. Bishops' holds a very special place in my heart and I would like to say 'Thank you' to both faculty and students. May the Lord continue to bless and keep you all. Bye for now. Proud and ever-faithful Hilarian, Betty-Ann Peters

News from France! I'm Rosine Ottley-Verte and I'll always be proud to be part of that fantastic heritage of Bishop's. First let me congratulate you on the excellent work and to hope your success continues as an example for others. Secondly, this is also to let you know that I have been awarded an honorary medal for teaching in Paris for 20 years. This is due in a great part to my upbringing and to my formative years at Bishop's and for this my warm thanks go out to you all. Best wishes for the future Rosine together we stand, divided we fall

It feels good to see that school doing so well. Has everybody ever got around to fixing the fountain or building that Science building. Ah figure ah buy 'nough bricks. Anyway. Congrats. Well I never thought that the day would come when I would be considered an "Old Hilarian." After finding Bishops on the net today, I got so emotional. Actually, the tears are now running down my face(I never thought that Bishops would be able to do that to me). When I was at Bishops, I always wondered why people cried at graduations etc. , but I now understand. This is a very touching moment for me- being able to write this letter. I am at school at Spelman College in Atlanta, and there is not nearly enough Bishops girls. I am urging the class of '99 to come join me(the form fives and the upper sixes). I never thought that I'd say this but I really miss Bishops and it was surely one of the best experiences in my life, whenever I was present that is (class of '97 and '99 know what I mean. I wish the school best of luck in its upcoming anniversary. To all the present students at Bishops: Cherish these days because there will never be any others like this. LOVE TO ALL MY BISHOPS SISTERS(Nneka Thomson, Isoke Edwards, Njemile Salandy, Terry Ann Perry, Jamila Seale and all the others). I hope to see you all soon. Yours Faithfully' NNEKA SUTHERLAND

The Class of '89 10th Anniversay reunion As many of us as there are in North America who cannot afford to go home for the 10th Anniversary reunion, I thaught maybe we could have our own. If we could get everyone together at some time in the summer in the city where there are the most people then we could probably have just as good a time as those who are home. So if any of you guys out there are interested, please forward as many names and addresses of BAHS '89 to me at avw@interlog.com and I will see what the response is. I was thinking maybe in June or July of next year Please forward this message to anyone not on the above list, even if they are in Trinidad, for they may know of someone who is in the states that is not on this list. CC me whenever possible, so that I can keep track of who gets it.

I must say that I dearly miss Bishop Anstey alot. It is only now when I look back I realize what a significant role this fine institution, both teachers and peers, has played in my life. To all the members of the class of '94, everybody knows we were the most refined group to pass thru' Bishop's doors. Big up. Miss Ruddell contacted me as she wanted to award a History prize in aid of my mother, Valerie Cansfield who taught at Bishops for 29 years. I'm astonished to find Bishops on the Internet - and like many others - moved to tears. I left in 1966 to study in the UK and now live her. I'd be delighted to hear from anyone who remebers.

So glad I have this avenue to help me find a fellow grad. I met Clara Applewaithe (hope I spelt it right) on the beach in Tobago this Carnival and we exchanged addresses. However, I subsequently misplaced the slip of paper (too many beach bags) and I can't remember her married name. I do remember that she lived in New Jersey at the time. Oh my gosh! I searched BAHS on a nostalgic lark and couldn't believe my eyes. At first I thought this must be a different school with the same name, but it wasn't. I'm moved to tears. I attended Bishop Anstey Junior School from about 1974(?) to 1980 and attended 'Big Bishops' from 1981-1985. My most inspiring teachers were Ms McDowell who sparked my interest in biology, and Ms Davis who shared her passion for books. I still can't believe we have a website!

Last month I was spontaneously reunited with 3 other classmates in NYC and I can't remeber when last I felt so satisfied. We had been in contact off and on, but nothing was like actually being face to face; it was an indescribable, overwhelming joy that 8hrs passed like 5 minutes. You know, it's errie that I never really realized the significant role BAHS has played in the evolution of my identity until I was attending university in the middle of nowhere! Bishops really does mould each one of us in preperation for "life beyond those 4 grey walls". Despite how far we roam, the enteries in these guestbooks prove that #145 Abercomby St.will always be home. The frienships born during those years I can easily say, are eternal. THANKS to the entire BAHS family;staff, and affliates for setting high standards, guiding our endeavours and believing in our success, and the students past and present for maintaining prestige. Best of luck to all Halirans especailly my friends studying abroad; Ifeyi,Rhea,Anika,Jodie,Kathy-Ann and soon to be Aisha(congrats Aish!!) I know we'll continue to support eachother. Thanks BAHS for the experience, the memories, the fun and for being a part of who I am. I graduate December 1998,from Univeristy of Guelph with Hons in Molecular Biology and Genetics and I can't wait to return home; I eagerly look foward to giving back to the BAHS community.

This is great!!. I left Bishops in 1975 after doing A' levels. I came to the USA in 1991 because I wanted to study the Bible at Washington Bible College after becoming a born-again Christaisn in 1987. I now work at the national Institute of Health as a Lab Tech. Mrs Spence and Miss Shurland were my favorites. Would love to hear from some of my peers like Shelly Vaughn, Evelyn Peterson, Mumtaz Kazim, Heather Phillips, Kathleen King, Elizabeth Jacobs, Margot Lovell, Diane Nurse, Judy Maillard, Diane Peters, Cheryl-Ann Wilson etc. Yes, I'm still single and loving it!!!

What a marvelous idea!!! Hats off to whoever took the time to initiate this project. I am looking for past students of Bishop Anstey Junior School. Would you believe that the school has no records prior to 1991? We want no money, or anything like that, just info!!!! Send any relevant info; name, address ( any kind) dates during which you attended, etc. to either of the following addresses: bajsteac@wow.net michetin@wow.net OR Call 624-1177 or Fax 624-0332 Thanks and yes, Miss Campbell is still here!

Hello out there in St Hilary land. This is such a great idea, hats off to the creator. Hello to Miss Ruddell and to any other of the teachers who had the great misfortune to teach me (smile). I have been away for so long that I do not know if there are any teachers left from my period at school. To the class that took O's in 1975 a hearty hello and howdy do.

This is a wonderful medium for uniting Hilarians who are scattered across the globe. Hello to Ms. Taylor, Ms. Rudell, Mrs. Mark, Ms. Bostic, Mrs. Nelson, and all of my old teachers still at Bishop's. I'm entering my final year at UWI in Jamaica this month, and all is going well. I would like to hear from any of my teachers, or any Hilarians who knew me at school. Proud to be a Hilarian!

This is a wonderful way for those with whom I've lost contact to reach me! Would love to hear from those who left Sixth Form in 1979 and those who left Fifth Form in 1977. Petal.
